Looking at this poster for Jasmine Jewel TDSB Idol, you are able to see a many elements used that made this an effective poster. One of the first things that stands out is the image of Jasmine. It takes up most of the poster, but is not to big that is the only foucus, there is still room for the typographic but still your focus is at the image of Jasmine.
another effective element of this poster is there are not to many extra little things. the poster does not have extra images or words that are unneeded for the poster. you have a clear view of everything that is needed to tell you about Jasmine Jewel.
the colour contrast works well in this poster. The image of Jasmine is a lot of black and white. by putting the pink and white as the background and font colour it makes the image of Jasmine stand out along with the font as well.
the typographic works extremly well together. the information at the bottom of the poster still works with the typographic of the logo. both sections have a cartoon look to them, which goes with the sort of playful and happy look of the image of jasmine. a long with the typographic the language goes with it as well. the words are simple enough for anyone to understand and know that the poster is talking about.
